I've put in some code for inserting youtube videos in your posts - there just isn't a button for it. Please keep videos on topic (DM, NIN, etc.).

Put youtube and /youtube inside brackets [ ] on either side of the portion of the url after the =. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG4r4HfhNVg

Example: [ youtube] AG4r4HfhNVg [ /youtube] (take out the extra spaces)

There are vids on youtube where that embedding function is disabled from their side. I doubt it will work in this case. I just mention it as I had this case today...

You can still do the code above... but I've installed a new feature:

All you need to do is copy and paste the URL into your message and the site will be able to recognize it! No codes necessary!

I think we might need an update in this thread? Seems that the way to post youtubes has changed a couple times, and it also seems that some people can't see the videos when they ARE embedded...maybe we could do a little test?

For people who may not have noticed...above the text box you will see a little TV icon. If you click it, you can select what kind of video you want to embed. Then you get a popup where you put in the entire url.

Here is a short video I pulled from Slashy moments to use as a test. Can everyone see the video?

I changed the title of this thread to make it easier to post YouTube and other related resources cuz I found this one and wanted to post it for others to take advantage of.
